This is my second trip to Costa Rica. I am addicted to this country. I have stayed in quite a few hostels here, but none of them comes close to being better than TRANQUILO BACKPACKERS!!!

The atmosphere is HOT! I did live here for quite a while. The staff / desk rceptionists are cool as ICE... and twice as nice. Especially the graveyard shift receptionist.( Thanks for beeing awake to let me in during all of those 3:00-5:00am doorbell rings from me!)

I have to say those pancakes were the best.

I will definately be back and will recommend this hostel to others.

Tranquilo is an extremely friendly place. Wonderful staff and its very SAFE!!! I have been here many times and I have to say it"s my favourite hostel. The pancakes are the best and the travellers that pass through are great people.

This is a great place, and I love the funky decor. I will definetively recommend Tranquilo to my friends. I would have liked to see more of Costa Rica, but gotta roll on. If this place represents la pura vida I have missed out.
